Kit Garrett, Fashion Director
Kit began booking models in 1990 when she joined the Troutman/Downey agency in Portland. A year later, she was scouted by Book Models and moved to Seattle to create a new children’s division for the agency. She soon became the head booking agent for the men’s division, and both sections flourished under her leadership due to her innovative marketing and promotion. Kit returned to Portland in 1995 where she worked at Pro Models as the head booking agent for each of the men’s, women’s, and children’s divisions. She also opened a commercial print division at Pro Models, which served to expand the marketability of the agency’s actors to print clients.
As the fashion director at Ryan Artists, Kit’s focus and conceptualization have built upon the successes of the men’s and women’s divisions, from where we book locally as well as place models with national and international agencies, to include our thriving children’s and sports divisions. Impressively, Kit also heads our lifestyle division, through which she promotes our actors and non-typical models to clients looking for an attractive “next-door-neighbor” look. This division has been a particularly successful addition to Ryan Artists, from where we market our talent to such local and national clients as Intel, Hewlett/Packard, Boyd’s Coffee, Amtrak and At&T. Kit is a busy and valuable member of our team whose drive and vision have made the Ryan Artists’ print division among the best in the Northwest.
